Butterfly Saver
Grandma Alli, I heard that you wanted to hear about the butterflies I saved. So here it goes. It was hard to catch the butterflies, but they were so fun to get. And after I picked them up they would stick on me the whole time and never fly off, only when I flipped them off of my finger. And I really really really wanted them to go off when they got outside, but they wouldn’t. I don’t know why, but they’re sure a little scared. One was brown, one was gold, and one was green and brown, but I don’t remember the colors of the other ones. Goodbye.

I’m so glad to hear about your adventures in saving butterflies. They are such beautiful creatures and it is sad when they get trapped in the window. I imagine it would be very scary for them. And then they must feel safe on your finger!
Keep saving them :)
I love you
I love to hear you tell the story about the butterflies. I’m glad they seemed to like being with you- they must know you love them :)
Can’t wait to see you soon, Marie!
I think you are an amazing little butterfly charmer, Marie. :) And I am glad you care about the little butterflies and can help them to live happily a little longer.
Maybe when you catch another one, daddy will take a picture of you holding it :)
And when you take it outside – instead of flipping it off, have you tried taking it over to a bright flower and putting your finger right next to the flower and then nudging the butterfly on to it?
I love hearing about your adventures with butterflies….
